Elder's Marks in battlegrounds

I have tried reading about them in the MOD posting but I can't grasp my head around it.

Can someone please explain what they are for an why I am using them? I have to use them to get objectives? How do I obtain them to begin with?

    First buy them with units, then complete the victory track, then goto the next one whatever it’s called then use elder marks in there to earn points.

    So if i want to do the objectives i have to buy the elder marks? There is no earning process for them? An they are only good once the victory track is completed?

    You can start earning them for free upon reaching silver 3, there you get 50 and some more when you climb in the victory track. And then you have to enter bg matchs by using those in order to get points towards the solo and alliance event

    I think there is some elder marks in the victory track rewards, 900 of them. But you won’t earn any points towards goals till you start using them.

    There are only 3 ways to get Elders marks. Purchase with money in the store along with units, purchase with units and complete the Victory Track.

    The Victory Track will get you 900 assuming you can win the 46 matches it takes to complete with 2 mainly but mainly 3 wins straight and the final to 4 and 5 in a row. And an additional 750 if you have a full alliance playing as well.

    The max milestones you can hit in both solo and Alliance event is 10 to 11.
