Is there any particular reason we’re wasting 27 energy just to get to the final boss, then another after? Really what’s the point?

    As it was explained in the other 20 threads on this, it's the same amount of energy as all the other months. The maps are just designed differently. This time, there are path designs and the fights are closer together.

    It’s the same number of fights and energy as it’s been for months on end. They just loaded all of the fights into a line instead of spacing them out and using portals to jump from place to place unnecessarily.

    It’s a different design than we’re used to, but they probably did it this way so they could perfect Battlegrounds into the stunning masterpiece that it is.
