Can someone please explain why I am playing matched with Paragons and decks full of 6* r3/r4 champs?

I have less than a dozen 6* r3 and one r4, my deck had 11 6* in, 1 being r4, 6 r3 and 4 r2 and the rest are 5/65 so why am I being matched up with people who have a mich better roster AND often in the tier above me?!

As BG’s are new and everyone starts with the same rating it’s likely that everyone gets matched up with everyone else at first. Once some time goes by and ratings get settled in appropriately then there should be less of this. Though the encouragement to sandbag in the current reward structure will inevitably lead to some of this as well.

roster should have no bearing on who you match, you should be matching randomly with other people in your same bracket

agree but that won't stop people from ruining the spirit of the mode which is what we're seeing now and back in beta. but that's more a sign of how society is in general than what the game is or isn't doing properly. people will always look to "get over" on something.

there's no benefit at all to tanking/losing on purpose though, so there should be no way to mess with matchmaking IF it's done properly (aka ONLY look at where people rank, nothing else should matter)

Once time goes by? It resets every month so everyone back to bronze3 end of the season.
