Upgrade Recommendation

Trying to decide if I should upgrade any of my current 5 or 6 star champions or should I just sit on the resources until I get a better champion.

Currently I have the following champions that are either maxed or beyond my ability to upgrade anytime soon:

5R5 AA (Dupped)
5R5 Domino (Dupped)
5R5 Human Torch (Dupped)
5R5 Warlock (Undupped)
5R5 Herc (Dupped)
5R5 Shang Chi (Dupped)
5R5 Void (Undupped)
5R5 Colossus (Dupped)
5R5 Medusa (Dupped)

    I see what you mean on skill, just watched some YouTube videos of people using her to her fullest potential. Scary good if you can do the things some people are doing. Not sure I have the thumb dexterity to match what they are doing.

    Peni parker has unique immunities you dont have, and is versatile

    I show PP having incenerate and poison immunities. I believe I have them with some of my other Champs.... Warlock, Void, Colossus, etc. Just not those 2 immunities together with the same champ. Is that what you are seeing or something else?

    Prof X would be a close second, for me. I assume that you still have Act 6 left to complete, and Prof X will help with the Grandmaster's reversed controls phase.

    I'd go Peni Parker for the same reason as noted by @pseudosane.

    I am not against ranking 5* at all - sometimes you need a specific champ/counter or they are still just that good and/or the roster is not as developed so 5* are still very common to use. But, from my own experience, nothing stinks more than investing resources into an R4/R5 5* and then getting the 6* soon after, especially if the champ doesn't need to be duped to be good.

    If you have a 6* option (Peni Parker, Hulk Buster) and aren't missing a specific utility that you need right away from a 5*, I'd go for the 6* every time. Peni Parker's immunities are pretty unique still (Map 6 AQ is helpful and Path 9 in AW as well as anywhere else you need incinerate and/or poison immunity), plus her heal block and power control are useful and she's a pain on defense for a lot of people too. If you have (or get) Mysterio, they will pair nicely for making Mysterio a damage powerhouse too (future investment)

    Take sunspot off the list, mine has been 6* R3 forever and I barely use him now. He is fun and perfect block is nice, but he doesn't shine with the bigger health pools like he once did. If there is a path that needs incinerate or that gives an attack boost - he can be fun there, but for general, recurring content... meh for me.

    Hulkbuster is a nice pairing with Ultron and he can be cheese for monthly CAV EQ that place shock. He's a decent option too, but I'd go with Peni Parker first.
