Kraven traps

It seems that kraven traps are not only invisible, but not setting at all. Used him in arena just now on 2 different fights. In both, I set traps about 3/4 towards the opposing side. In both I had the enemy well over while the timer went down. Once it said trap set I drew them out. They were able to push all the way to my side without triggering anything. Did I miss something in the mechanic or is this wrong?
