8.1.3 Psycho Man

So I was exploring 8.1.3 just now and took the antagonist line with a team of Mags, Apoc, Cable, Kitty Pryde, and AA (all 6*s). I got to the boss section and decided that since I got mags, I would go ahead and knock out the Psycho Man fight. I switch Kitty with my 5* Mags for safety. I made the 6* mags a horseman and started the fight. With my 6* Mags as a horseman, Psycho Man never bcame magnetized. But When I went in with my 5* Mags without being a horseman, the fight went smoothly. Is there an interaction on the node I missed, something about being a horseman that effects Mags abilities, or has anyone had this happen?
