Well written and I think this sums up the thoughts of many of community.

The timing of this seems so strange to me. We have no way of obtaining a max rank 6* yet, and no content that really requires them. I don’t understand the need to push 7* now, apart from kabams commercial perspective.

It's all about the whales. U keep them happy, u make the $. Simple as that.

Whales don't want this. We spend enough on champs and offers. Now you have to double spend on champs and relics. AQ rewards are garbage so prestige is meaningless. I don't know any whales that are excited about this.

I'm already sick to my stomach pulling all the multiple Cyclops, Groot, Rocket, Superior Ironman, Captain America, etc. It actually p****s me off when I pull these junk characters, especially considering how often I pull them. Absolutely not ready to start feeling that way all over again.

What will happen to 6 star max crystals? Will they start providing 7 star shards instead of 6 star shards / otherwise be the same? What if we have some saved up, will they "convert"?

I for one and very turned off. It feels far too soon to me. I have zero intetest in building another roster. Once 7* release my 6* will die where they are. I had to stop ranking my 5* because 6* rankups are so costly. There's no doubt the cost of 7* rankups will be double that of 6* champs. And for people struggling to find gold and iso for rankups this will get far worse. I never have gold or iso. I let t2a and t5b expire quite often because I just can afford to rank champs up to burn all the t2a and t5b I have.

I still rank 5*s. It just depends on what they offer and if my 6* can't cover it.

Regarding the recent news of 7 stars being added to the game, please reconsider this decision. a vast majority of your player base will leave the game if this happens and frankly, regardless of what others think, I don’t want this game to die. If you choose to pursue this path no matter the potential benefits, your game will suffer exponentially in the coming months. I understand that your corporation needs to make money, but we as a player base just aren’t ready for 7 stars yet. your trying to make the game more enjoyable but this is not the way to do it. Fix battlegrounds, get bugs under control, create a fair ranked progression that is tailored to only benefit the summoner advancing in the contest (extra free rewards for advancement) , and keep this game alive.

If you think this decision is made for the majority of player base then you're totally wrong here, this is for the top of the top of the ladder, for people who have all 6* and just setting on ton of shards for next featured to get all new champs, kabam needs to give this people something new to chase and also these people are the source of the most game income so it make sense. The game can be played on many different levels, there are ranks in AW, AQ and BGs so you shouldn't be worried about something won't affect you eventually because we're playing a totally different game here

The only thing I don`t like about it is that it will make the system, content created, and a lot of other things much more complicated to balance. And to keep bug free.
The game has a pretty big chunck of problems constantly.
With Relics and Ascention the mechanics are being made more complicated. There is a very likely chance Ascentions won`t trigger. Making your champs week. Relics not register properly etc etc.
I feel like the first step on top of the base game is very unstable. And they are just going to slap the second layer on it without making the first layer stable.

ppl can't seem to grasp the concept of progressing at ur own pace. They feel they need to have the newest right away. It shouldn't matter if kabam releases 20* heroes, if ur at 6* level then stay there and do 6* level challenges. As u progress, u can advance to 7* and so on. Im not a whale and even im not complaining. In fact, I finally achieved paragon recently, AT MY OWN PACE.

So calm down, everyone. If u want to leave the game then leave. If u want to stay, then stay.

I knew this was coming, but was hoping I was wrong. We will soon see 5* stars become the new 4* much like 4*s became the new 3*s when 6*s were released.

I'm not going to threaten to quit over this, as I don't say I'm going to do things that I can't 100% guarantee, however, I can guarantee this will greatly decrease my interest moving forward (which equals to less spending).

I've been slowly losing interest for the past year (reason I abandoned my monetized MCOC yt channel and joined semi retired alliance) and seeing 7*s introduced will speed up my loss of interest.

It do affect for those that do wars. They will see more difficulty to defeat a champion because the stats will now be higher and boosted by nodes. This also means that the difficulty to complete EQ and so on can be hard, maybe not that hard, but at least hard enough.

One of the things we ask for most is be communicated with and Kabam have done that. They’ve given us plenty of notice and laid things out. Honestly there was nowhere else for the game to go but in this direction. Once you’ve gotten every 6* you’ve pretty much completed the game. There’s nothing else to do but to wait for the next 2 champs to roll into the game. There always needs to be the next thing to collect/earn/spend on. This is it.

Really not happy, I know top of the top people need something new but I thought relics were that thing but having to grind for relics and then 7* looks like not so good prospects for FTP and casual spenders.

Relics were never a replacement for a new Rarity. They couldn't be. The same argument came when 6*s were introduced, and scores of F2P people have extensive 6* Rosters now.

I think it would be good if instead of that Ascension thing, after you max out a 6* champ you'll have the option to Evolve them, it'll be like a regular rank up but it'll be hard to get of course, and this will "comvert" your 6* r5 champ into a 7* rank 1 champ.
I mean, why not?
That way your 6* champs can truly progress and you wont have to do the same process to the same champ and get him all over again... 7 stars will be obtainable from crystals, but also you will be able to evolve as I said a maxed 6* into a 7* r1 champ and just continue with the same champion...
Thoughts?
