It's only against a tech champ that's ALSO metal, just not shown on Auntmai
(Sorry quoted wrong message)
Okay? Your point? OP argued with ghost, I don't care about the other side arguments that have occurred.
Ghost is only effected when magmatism is on. Their screenshot show with and without since it takes 1 second to activate. Magneto reverses the class difference after 1 second.
OK now explain the Nimrod scenario
Admittedly, the first screenshots were poor in trying to explain the issue
You forgot:
Nimrod is immune to ability accuracy reduction of mutants. Never use a Mutant against Nimrod even Mags.
What's ability accuracy got to do with doing less damage?
The magnetism doesn't work against Nimrod 🤷♂️
Magnetized still applies to Nimrod, it’s just that the ability accuracy reduction does not. The other effects still do.
He shouldn't though, he loses his class bonus to attack because of magnetism. As far as doing more vs starlord, they are different champs. They probably have different armor and resistance, so if those stats are higher on mags then would make sense he is taking less damage.
Each armour up gives Nimrod more attack so yes he should.
Both champs have the same armour rating and energy resistance.
This is correct, at least according to Aunt Mai. I get what OP is saying, which is that a magnetized tech champion against Magneto should do the same amount of damage that the same tech champion does against non-mutants (assuming armor/physical resist/energy resist are all equal), which does not appear to be the case.
OP, I did some testing with Guardian and G2099 as well and it corroborated your theory. I picked champions that couldn’t crit just to remove that variable. Starlord has the same defensive stats as Magneto, so he made sense as a testing point. The metal tech champs were doing noticeably less damage to Mags than they were to Starlord, although in theory they should have been identical.
That all being said, for some reason I remember Mags’s kit saying that it *reversed* class disadvantage when the opponent was magnetized and not just ignored it, which would explain what we’re seeing. But that must be a Mandala effect because it clearly says that he just ignores it. I have no answers, only more questions.
