I just got his dupe from a nexus, along with Stryfe, but I think I will go with OR.
But.. I don't use suicides. Sigs are not a problem, I have handful of them right now, but is he worth it without suicides?

I think in short fights, it makes a substantial difference. The initial death field DOT is nice, the WP healing is great too, but that’s not the whole story.
It’s the fact that he can build 20-25 spores, and get that heavy attack degen ticking for way more than it otherwise would be at only 10 spores. Additionally, having more spores means if any drop off, you’ll still have a decent amount for your sig ability to tick away and your heavy attack degen debuff to deal some nice damage as well. With this and the actual death field damage in mind, his damage increases significantly in these shorter fights, and it’s super noticeable.
He can take anything under 200k health in about 30 secs, granting the opponent less than a bar of power. Without suicides, this is much trickier to do. You have a lot less wiggle room with the AI because you’re either at your ceiling (10) or you get no damage from your sig ability, and the degen debuff damage isn’t nearly as high.
For longer fights, having suicides helps keep the rhythm, but they’re less needed because you’re cycling an sp2 or perhaps 2. Because there is more than 1 cycle of the death field, proportionally, you spend more of the fight in the death field because of his sp2. This makes the initial death field slightly less valuable in the sense that you have that boosted damage for longer throughout the fight.
In my personal opinion, I think you definitely need high sig. That’s a requirement, essentially. But suicides is more of a recommendation, I suppose. It’s not something that’s super necessary but you really do want it to get the most out of it. It makes him more practical to use in those shorter fights, and increases his versatility because he can more easily KO opponents quickly without granting them power or letting nodes and such get out of control. The additional sustainability he gets from suicides is also really nice for AW and longer quests where health conservation is important.
