1 Loyalty Revives have made Disconnecting more Punishing than getting KO'ed in Alliance War

So this just happened to me in War today and made me come to this realization. Luckily it's offseason so the outcome doesn't bother me, at least for today.

I took a fight with a champion today and at it's conclusion had about ~65% Health Remaining. I later on tried taking another fight with this champion and never connected to the fight. My penalty for this was to lose 1 Attack Bonus and half of my remaining health as has always been the case. I'm sure a lot of us have had that happen and this post isn't meant to whine about the servers.

The point of this post is that this outcome is now measurably worse than actually going into the fight and getting KO'ed. I was not awarded the opportunity to do any damage or even attempt to die and now (unless I heal) I have to go into the fight with less than 40% Health which has basically become the new default after reviving. Now it might just be me but I feel that I shouldn't be punished harder for an unintentional disconnect that I am for actually failing to win a fight. I understand that if there are no consequences people could intentionally disconnect but there is no incentive to do that if consequence is actually worse than dying which is basically the case now that the potency of revives has been increased.

Interested to see other opinions on the matter and if there should be a tweak to how the game interprets a disconnect, at least for AW specifically.

TL;DR: Disconnecting is a more punishing outcome that dying in AW if you enter a fight with less than 80% because of how easy it is to revive with 40% Health. Should this remain as is or be changed.

I disagree with you trying to equate these 2 scenarios or try to make them have similar consequences. A disconnect is something that should not be happening to begin with. When you start an AW season, Kabam do not send a message that you will occasionally lose wars because of disconnect. It's not an intended part of the game. So, I don't think you should be making a good change in the game appear to look bad (speaking of 40% revives).

I'm not saying 1 Loyalty Revives are bad, they are fantastic. I'm just saying they've changed the balance of certain outcomes. Revives used to heal incredibly small amounts of Health in War or were very expensive. Since that is no longer the case, I'm just suggesting that the outcome of a disconnect should be revisited. Saying that Disconnects aren't supposed to happen doesn't really address the fact that they do and the result of them happening should be balanced around other outcomes as well.

... how so?.. so u disconnect.. lose 1 AB and 50% health...
Lets say u had 60% at the start of the fight... U come back at 30 with 1 AB loss.. and u can't use the revive cause u r not dead...U will never get back to 40% without losing more ABs...
What kind of witchcraft math are u using to justify this post ..
