Will we get a Descension mechanic in the future?

With the announcement of the Ascension mechanic coming soon giving the ability to upgrade champs beyond their max rank and level, I would expect a way to de-rank champs as well, when you no longer value a champions star rarity after acquiring them as a higher rarity they become a burden on your roster, we already know a mechanic similar to this can work with rank down tickets, but making it a champion ability across the board like a rank up works makes infinitely more sense, I enjoy the game whole heartedly and enjoy QoL updates we have recently seen, and believe this idea would be nice.
