I love Iceman. He may not need a full on buff. But there one thing in his kit that makes NO sense. He is NOT immune to coldsnap. That should be an easy fix Kabam. That and maybe a bit more damage. That is all.

Iceman need some increase in damages. He is hitting with pillow fists in current meta.

Don’t get me wrong his kit is pretty cool, poison and bleed immune, stacking frostbite and coldsnap on evade champs is awesome. But a bit more damage and the fact that if you fight Elsa, he is incinerate immune, but because of that she inflicts coldsnap which he should not be affected by at all. Makes no sense.

One idea I had is to give him a “freeze” ability on well-times block instead of stun. It’s basically a stun, but a different name and passive, like cleanse is to purify.

Makes sense since mutants counter purify abilities. It would also be nice to counter stun immune champs since it would be a separate ability.

A few champs can use a logic tune up example dormammu make him incin immune

No doubt. Iron Fist and Moon Knight enter the chat.

I think the problem with Iceman is he's just outdated.

The problem with Iceman is that there's several dozen champs that need a review more than him.
Agreed, but Kabam hasn't exactly chosen to buff champs in the order of who needs it the most. I think most of us would appreciate more frequent buffs even it meant prioritizing the champs that need that 1 or 2 things tweaked to become enjoyable champions again.

Unfortunately, that's not how this works. Sure, you might think a couple small tweaks will do for Iceman, and I might think that, but there's actually no way to know if those changes would be safe changes until the design team actually stops to review them. They can't take our word for it. And even if a knowledgeable champion designer believes a quick change will do, they answer to other people above them that almost certainly wouldn't know that, and would have to be convinced. And because there's a process for all of this that the changes have to go through, there are no quick changes.

Take making Iceman coldsnap immune. In spite of the fact that this is one of the oldest examples people hold up as Kabam making "a mistake" the idea that Iceman should be immune to his own powers is not actually fully in agreement with Marvel canon. My guess is there's a 90% chance that Marvel doesn't care, but there is a 10% chance they might. It is hard to say when they will exert editorial discretion, and I don't know what the precise process is for Kabam to get changes approved by Marvel, but I know there is one. These kinds of overhead processes can't be taken for granted.

Groot need the complete makeover the most and he still haven’t gotten it. Kabam just want to keep him as a meme champ.

There's no rule that says whoever is at the top of the list gets looked at first and whoever is at the bottom goes last. In fact, there's no way to state with precision who's at the top or bottom: the list has some sort of order, but just as with player tier lists, there's a lot of fuzziness to the list that is subject to debate. We know who is higher and who is lower, but no one can say who is literally at the top or bottom, and neither do the devs waste time with such judgments.

Beyond that, there are externalities that also factor into who gets attention first. Available technology has an affect. For example, the developers might decide to look at a particular champion and decide they have a great concept for updating him or her, and then discover the technology to do what they want doesn't exist yet. So they put the idea on the shelf until the game engine catches up. They "looked" at the champ, but decided not to act at the moment. Or there can be disagreement on the best way to update a champ, and in the absence of a way to resolve that disagreement they might decide to move on to a less controversial champ. Or quite frankly, the designer currently working on champion updates might simply have a personal preference that reasonably aligns with the update priorities in general, and that champ gets attention as a result.

Also, I would say there are lots of champs that need more attention than Groot. OG Spiderman, for example, is for me unambiguously less capable of a champ than Groot is. There are those that might disagree, you might be one of them, but that's sort of the point.

and while we are at it, we should make

QS immune to reverse controls just because he's too fast to be mind read, and also give him a 25%-50% resistance to all damaging debuff because the internal blood flow is way too accelerated thus making him heal faster.

Prof X: should have an immersive and unique ability called "NODE Removal". For instance if he encounters Hulkling on a rich gets richer node. PX should have another prefight ability able to remove that node "rich gets richer" and make it a simpler fight.

    Iceman just needs number changes:
    Increase coldsnap duration.
Increase the chance to place frostbite and increase the duration, to give you more time to gather more and deal more damage using your heavy attack.
And to add the immunity to coldsnap and frostbite, it doesn't make sense for him not to have those immunity.

Buffing / improving iceman isnt hard

    1) Immunity to coldsnap and frostbite
    2) Basic hits deal energy instead of physical damage
    3) Critical hits have 50% chance to place a frostbite debuff on opponent
    4) Each frostbite debuff reduces defensive ability accuracy by 18% (22% vs skill champs and 15% vs robots)
    5) Ice Armor should only protect him from armor break..reforms after 12 secs
    6) Ice Shield..cannot be removed by any means or ability...as long as ice shield is active, Iceman only takes a max of 5% damage from special attacks including special attack 3.. once ice shield is removed by special attacks..it takes 20 secs to reform

    Signature:
    1) As long as coldsnap is active, Iceman is stun-immune and opponent has a -50% to -100% purify/cleanse ability accuracy
    2) Whenever there are 5 to 3 frostbite debuffs, opponent is special lock for 2 seconds
    3) Whenever Iceman suffers from a DOT debuff he is immune to,..he gains a cruelty buff adding x critical damage per DOT debuff he is immune to..

It’s happening! I am taking credit. Hopefully it’s good, if not it’s someone else’s fault.
