Apocalypse/iHulk interesting interaction

Was using the event quest to mess around with my new Apocalypse and found an unusual interaction. Was using a special 1 on iHulk and his gamma just started to skyrocket. I know that hulk builds gamma from his own self inflicted burst and from degen damage and from all damage to a much smaller extent, but it looked like he was converting all the burst from my special into gamma.

    Does he do the same for other people’s bursts or just apoc’s?

    60 % of all damage taken while inflicted with a degen is converted to gamma

    Ok, that makes sense then, I hadn't read his abilities in a bit, I thought it was 60% of the degen damage, not all damage when he had a degen.
