Please Add a True Practice Mode

I have been playing this game for a very long time (as in, the first week of release). I have taken breaks and returned many times, and from the beginning there is one thing I have wanted in the game: A practice mode.
I have never signed up for the forums in my whole time playing this game, but I need to get this suggestion out there.
I would like a mode that allows me to choose and attacker (or a team to test synergies) and a defender with the nodes of my choosing to fight against (or at least the current battlegrounds nodes, common war nodes, and just a base 100%, 200% etc attack and hp node.)
I have many reasons to request this. Where I am at now in the game (Thronebreaker with 9 r3 6 stars) I find a lot of enjoyment in characters that aren’t used all that often. Now with battlegrounds out, and incursions buffed, there is a wider variety of champions that have become viable.
Let me give you some examples:
Because of the importance of speed in battlegrounds I’ve been wanting to try out my 6 star awakened Squirrel girl. I think her dupe ability would make her a very fast killer, but she is only rank 1 and I don’t want to risk the resources ranking her up if she doesn’t work out how I think. I know she has other uses, but I’m also working on act 7 so I don’t want to just rank anybody up unless I know I’ll use them.
I recently awakens 6 Star gorr. I suck at fighting Peni, so I was excited for this one. I want to get used to fighting Peni with him, but I don’t have a good Peni to test. I don’t have a 6 star peni, and my 5 star is ranked up. Even if I had a 6 star rank 4 Peni, a normal practice fight against her would be nothing like a Peni I would fight in a quest or battlegrounds because they would be at least triple her rating.
And finally, I think it would help new players. I recently have some friends start playing for the first time, and one of the hardest things for them is learning how to fight all of the characters. They would get almost all the way through a line on a quest just to run into somebody they haven’t fought very much, like say Vision Aarkus and stand no chance. Giving new players a chance to practice against opponents and learn how to defeat them would really accelerate growth and make me less wary of adding new players to alliance for war and quest.

fight against. Would also be sort of cool to have the ability to create a challenge that others could attempt as well.
