Alliance war rematches

Can we finally get a new matchmaking system? It's been 38 seasons and Kabam still hasn't found the correct balance. Why are alliances allowed to rematch during a war season? This hurts the top alliances like JA, TCN, Newn and Gt40 because usually 3/4 of the alliances match each other 2x per season. This hurts placement in the end because some other alliance who might not even faced any of the real top alliances could end in the top 3. There's 20 master alliances so in reality there should be no rematches at all. Has this been looked into? Can we expect a better system going forward?
