Banquet timing clarification

Greetings. Just for clarification; considering the banquet event starts later on in an about 20+ hours, and you need to be in the alliance for 14 days to be eligible for rewards, isn't it possible to join within a few hours before the start of the event to be eligible? Considering a day is 24 hours, if I joined by midday today (20th), wouldn't I be eligible to participate and earn rewards as the 14th day will be on 3rd midday and the event will end at 18:00 on 3rd?
