I specify in advance it is not a post about victory or defeat. Just state of mind. you recognized on this forum that using the pause mode was not fair and not intented as a strategy that you wanted to trivialize in battleground. But you haven't done anything to fix it. And this month's node will encourage summoners to use it consistently. Dissapointed

You get 15,000 points for doing nothing.
You can do 9 hits worth of damage before an armor up procs on a non-armor defender, so if you have a 1-2 hit heavy, great.
If the other person has a bad matchup and you know it, playing conservative and taking those points is the safest way to a win, assuming there’s a problem with your matchup too.
It’s poorly designed because it’s so restrictive that “not playing” is a reasonably effective strategy. Every node set will have an average score and standard deviation. The lower the average gets, the more viable timing out becomes. By the same token, if there is a node that inflicts massive damage at identifiable points, whether it’s special 3 or something else, pausing is more viable.
Things that would’ve been better to me (pick one…not all):
Halving the power burn (5% of a bar of power and less damage)
Reducing the attack of the opponent to make the power burn slightly less punishing
Reducing the HP pool so that players can get some damage in before armor ups proc, and players who play the node nab a quicker KO.
I liken it a little bit to the original cavalier EQ - they had nodes that required buffs and debuffs or no damage was done. It was changed to 60% damage reduction and each buff/debuff reduced the reduction by 20. Matchups, for the most part, shouldn’t be impossible. This set of nodes seems to put a lot more of winning and losing on the cards that are drawn rather than quality of play. Both are important but this isn’t the balance I’d prefer.
I also never said I think the pause cheat should be allowed. There are other posts where it’s obvious someone paused, and it shows the fight time of 8 seconds. I think everyone assumes if it says less than 113-116 that they paused the game. It doesn’t mean that everytime.
