How is Spiderman 2099 getting incinerate when he's buff immune?

How is it possible that a buff immune champion like Spiderman 2099 can get incinerate from Wiccan and gets his buffs failed? He doesn't gain buffs so a buff immune champ shouldn't get an incinerate or am I missing something here? Can someone tell me if this is intended?

The reason is that even though he is buff immune , you still trigger a buff in the backend for example dexterity when you dash back and hence Wiccan is able to apply incinerate on buff immune champs too.

I know it shouldn't be like that , but it is what it is.

It really shouldn’t work that way, it should be a benefit to use spider 99 or other buff immune champs vs mystics like wiccan to avoid that interaction.

It IS like that. And imo working the way it "should".the order on which the interactions work is based on ability accuracy first and then only immunities

All champions immune to buffs are affected by neutralize for whatever weird reason, however, QS, who doesn't get the dex buff period, is unaffected on dexing with neutralize on.

It's something related to the order of operations. When you use a champion immune to bleed for example, the "immune" text only pops us when the bleed attempts to proc. Same happens with buff immune champs and buffs. However, because neutralise reduces buff AA, the buff never attempts to trigger in the first place due to AAR. So the immunity doesn't trigger and you get incinerates on yourself.

I don't really agree with the way it works right now, but that's the way it's coded and it kinda makes sense

Maybe I am confused (likely) but isn't Buff Immunity different from Debuff Immunity? So if you get an incinerate debuff on S2099 that is not impacted by his Buff immunity?

The incinerates are from Wiccan's abilities. Every time the opponent's abilities fail due to AAR or Wiccan's immunities, Wiccan places an incinerate debuff on them.

So in this case neutralise is reducing buff AA and the incinerates proc

But aren't the incinerates debuffs not buffs? For example, I tested Fury against S2099 and he places bleed debuffs all day long. Which is what I would expect.

That's not what the confusion is. These incinerates are supposed to be placed when a buff fails to proc. The confusion is regarding why a buff immune champ would fail to proc a buff
