Rank up and Awakening

I have a 6* generic gem and have a Kingpin and Nimrod, both can be taken to rank 3 as well. I If it comes between Nimrod and Kingpin which one is the better option? I personally enjoy playing Kingpin more but have heard Nimrod benefits more. I also have 100 sigs for both if needed. Please do let me know which is the better option?

(I don't have Herc or AA but have a NF at 5/65)

    I only have a king pin he's sig 100 5* and he benefits from it.
