Thronebreaker - questions on some changes

I just got Thronebreaker last night and have a couple questions.

1. Wasn't there a QOL change announced at some point that said we were supposed to be able to use the Book Select option to permanently set which book the Story Quest option would open to until we changed it to the other option or ran a quest in the other Book? If so, does it work for anyone else (mine doesn't, can't get it to default back to Book 1) and if not, did it ever work that way?

2. Why were the 2* class sig stones and 3*/4* generics removed from the solo events milestones? I still have plenty of those lower rank champs to max sig and while I appreciate the 5* stones it seems like some were just moved around with not many added and the main difference is a small bump in gold at the cost of the sig stones that would ultimately give me more crystal shards and raise my total hero rating.

    1. No, it will always default to the next piece of content. The update added buttons to the top of the screen to switch between books 1 & 2 without having to go back to a different screen.
    2. Yes, TB and Paragon both got updates that eliminated most low level content. Different levels of 4* and lower sig stones are available in different levels of solo crystals, but that’s about it.

    2/3/4 stones are definitely significantly more difficult to come by as a TB or Paragon now. It just is what it is because the rewards are objectively better but having the depth built up at all levels is helpful for getting more shards via max sig crystals and subsequently more iso and a better chance to always use correct iso so in a way a little more gold. also helpful for the odd challenge or something. There's always going to be a bit of a legacy advantage for accounts that were around earlier. A great example is the 4* Arena. No one who started playing within the last year or so is going to develop a deep roster of 4* R5's for that Arena but people who were around back in the day ranked them up for actual content and may have 60+ which is more than enough for that Arena.

    3. I don't think the Arena milestones change but am I now going to be getting worse rank rewards if I put up the same scores?

    4. Is there anything in other parts of the store that gets cheaper or changes beyond some of the glory store and the availability in the BG store (I think it was there) of the T5CC fragment selector?

    BG, Loyalty, Glory, and Catalyst Stores all change when you become TB. You also get access to the TB Stamp card which you can redeem if you buy enough of the daily specials.

    Arenas don’t change. You get upgrades in all stores, cheaper items and/or increased availability of items.

    I use my Solo Crystals for them.

    2* sig stones are now harder to find than any other rarity.
    You need to spend several thousands of solo events shards, on the lesser crystals, and hope a 2* +2sig show up.
    3* sig stones are somewhat better, but still hard and rare in greater solo crystals.
    As for 4* sig stones if you are lucky you get +5sig ones from the 10k shards solo crystals.
    It wouldn’t be gaming breaking leaving them at solo events, after the rewards buff.
    Of course now rewards are better, but these lesser value items were good for those who are after maxing out all lesser rarities.
    Hope they consider adding them back 🙂
