I sort of agree with it looking bad (or at least *odd*).

Where are his eyes supposed to be ?
Why is his antennae coming out of where the front of his face is (nose, or above mouth, or under eyes, not that any of those are actually present anyways).
(or is that top pic actually the *back* of his head, ie facing away from camera ?

Or is his nose and mouth the 3 silver colored pieces (with lighter highlighting) below the main part that looks like the head, but guess could be just the helmet, with rest of face actually below that. The 3 pieces that come together sort of like a triangle joint section.
(which goes to show how *odd* this whole design looks).
