Changes to Map 8 (Path 6 section 1 Guilly99)

Well, this was a horrible change. This fight just got a lot harder. Anyone else having issues with this? Guilly starts with an armor up which makes her instantly unblockable. Did Kabam miss the correct intent here or was this the actual plan?

I came here to post this. AQ is a bore & a drain on energy.. but it was never a drain on resources with the glory rewarded… now that they’ve added relic resources to the store and not increased the glory output nor the cap on glory, it’s become really frustrating. And this particular change is pointless except to make us waste more resources. The amount of glory wasted for so long because of the 15k cap would’ve alleviated this issue for some time had the useless cap either been raised or done away with.

For anyone who plans to comment and disagree or argue, save it, we understand how good you are.

I wouldn't say the change is pointless at all. A lot of it boils down to who do you use in AQ. If you just Herc/CGR everything then yeah, Surfer probably wasn't much of an issue. I use King Groot and Surfer was particularly annoying bc of how difficult it is to bait specials with XL champs in general these days and that Surfer's animations seem to make baiting him more difficult than others for some reason. Combine that with the fact that he has vigilance on his sp1 which completely counteracts the path crossfight, it's a fight that should have been changed.

Now G99 presents a whole different set of problems that I'm not surprised most people are quite unhappy about. I've managed to get her down with KG so far just as I did Surfer most days, but it is certainly a tricky fight and I'm not really sure which is worse for me personally yet. If your answer to me finding Surfer annoying is "use someone else", well the same could be said about you with G99.

Like I said, it's only been a couple of days so I'm not ready to say one is better than the other but just bc you personally didn't think Surfer was an issue, doesn't mean he wasn't.

I agree with you.. I use CMM and my personal thought is they did this because she heals throughout that path & surfer is an easy fight for her. I’m not so concerned with the matchup but starting unbkocbale and then her going invisible is a terrible fight design which I’m okay with - but that’s brining the other issues of glory into the conversation. Regardless of this the 15k cap should’ve never been a thing and the amounts they give out aren’t enough having added relics to the glory store. Add on harder fights and the summation of it all is the issue

I’ve run path 8 forever now with a team of Overseer, Nimrod, and then CGR for just the first path (never use items ever). I hate the change but it’s easy when you just dash back and get the “miss” thing on you then you can just CGR her down like usual but for me it’s annoying. I do like Rogue and Sorc. Supreme in the 3rd section over that annoying Silver Centurion and Guilly2099 that were there.

They very much have to do with each other. If 90% of glory is spent on relics and some of us now have to deal which a change in defender for change’s sake.. after having wasted mounds of glory over the last 2 years simply because the cap is an arbitrary number like 15k then, yes, the 2 issues are interconnected. That’s not to mention all the health potions & revives that were unnecessarily used just to stay within the boundaries of items & glory cap. There would be little complaint, certainly not enough to come on this board and write about, if the glory (rightfully earned) had been able to be stockpiled like every other currency in the game. A few extra potions wouldn’t matter.
You may not care or agree and if that’s the case fine, why are you responding lol? It apparently doesn’t impact you. Carry on.
