EOP Carina challenge spider verse

This is my 5th carina challenge, only alternate avengers left after this one.

Never had too much of a problem with Ikaris on my previous runs. However, this time I lose health, a significant amount every time he trows his sp1.

He isn’t hitting me, but losing health nevertheless. Maybe I am missing something but I am certain that I didn’t have this issue on all my other runs before.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

When he has a lot of energize he deals damage when he does his SP1. I believe it’s 7.

Ahh, strange I didn’t notice it on my previous runs, but maybe somehow managed it without knowing..

The only way to get rid of the energize is getting hit by a special. However he won’t gain Energize if you don’t hit him or his block with light attacks, or get hit or your block hit with his light attacks. Medium and Heavy attacks only. Mystics aren’t affected by this.

Ahh I see.. so far I only used mystics in my other carina’s: Juggernaut, Dragon man and hood.. so didn’t even know he worked like this

But thanks a lot! Will only hit him with heavy or medium attacks

Can I piggy back on this thread a bit? I'm wondering if Spidey Supreme would be a good option for Ikaris in EOP. I assume he would be, but I've been unable to find any sort of confirmation.

Yeah he is great for him & also for Kraven
Both fights can be soloed with him
I personally haven't done it bcoz I don't have him yet but his kit is suitable for both these fights
A YouTuber named Nagase used his 5* Spidey Supreme for these fights

Not sure if you already got past Ikaris but if he is still a road block and you haven't used too many items already, I would recommend going left if you don't have a Spidey Supreme. My team for the second half of the path was R4 S2099, R2 Miles and 5 star R5 Stealthy. Stealthy didn't help me much for the fights I thought he would excel in. S2099 was a beast. A couple of revives on Terrax and Dragonman but S2099 got them both down without much issue. He hits like a truck. Miles took down Modok and Blade. Blade was much easier. Modok's AI was just on drugs. For the first half, I used S2099 for Herc and CGR for the other 3 fights. And of course S2099 for Thanos. Not going left again. Just needed it for exploration.

Also, for this challenge I would swap out Stealthy for Gwen. She has similar potential for the unstoppable fights but she doesn't sacrifice damage output for placing slow.

@Asim38 yeah thanks mate! I did all my objectives on the right side so far. Did the left side with Hercules, just for exploration. Really don’t like that side.

My last challenge is the alternate, preparing my scarlet witch and giving her all sig stones I can find. She will take revenge on Ikaris

Kraven, Scorpion and Peni were OK, thanos was a joke with spidey 2099.

Gave the sig stones to scarlet witch classic and now preparing for the last challenge!

Kraven I did mostly with stark spidey, went quite fine.

Scorpion also did with stark Spidey, was a long fight, just heavy attacks and no specials.

Ikaris was horrific, used 2099 mainly as he hit hardest. But died a lot there

Peni I used 2099 and played it like a big Peni, could do a lot of damage before running out of health. Forced her to sp2 and got rid of her shield every time it was there

Ikaris gives damage to all champs except mystics when he has 7 energise.
And yes i do see that info is now pretty irrelevant 😂

@altavista she was amazing! She is r2 and sig 120 - went to the right, first fights with cheat code Hercules

Kraven super easy, when you nullify a buff he gains power so he almost only threw sp2’s - made it easy to fight him.

Scorpion was not fun, just took me a long time and a fair amount of revives.

Ikaris was really ‘easy’ with Scarlet, just a very long fight but really doable if you take your time

And for Peni I used r2 sig 20 captain marvel movie, removed her shield, let cap go into binary mode and do as much damage as I possibly could. And with 5 furies that was a decent amount! So also quite easy!

Thanos only used scarlet witch and went fine! Just thanos

Awesome, thanks for the insight. I don't yet have a 6-star Scarlet Witch, but I'll save this information for when I do.

@altavista 5 star also should do it. Mine was only r2, so similar numbers as the 5 star
