Spider verse Carinas challenge - spiderham?

Considering a team of peni / spider ham / miles. (I can r3 spam and miles, peni is 5* r5).

Thinking that spiderham would be good for dragon man and parts of thanos with the poppers. Not sure why people say s2099 or spiderGwen are better options? (Have an r5 s2099 and an unranked 6* spiderGwen)

Spidey99 can power control Thanos with his whither, but you have to not die and get a sp2 off and be good at dexing.
