Deciding a r2 6star or r5 5star mutant

I'm looking for a rank up that rounds up my roster of 9-10k ish power champions of each class.
All are unawakened, but I can get an awakening on a 5 star if I'm lucky in the next event quest crystal:
5 star sunspot, colossus, sauron, havok, and toad - goes to rank 5 eventually
6 star storm (also have the 4 star relic if that's important) - goes to rank 2, and potentially rank 3 after I get enough resources (will have 1 t5cc)

If a 6 star is better, should I wait for another good champion that is more usable unawakened?

    Storm is quite good, and pretty simple to play, but is kind of lacking in utility. She would take you pretty far but is easily countered by a lot of stuff.
    Sunspot and Havok are also really good, and get better awakened. Colossus needs high sig
