Ikaris vs Bishop

In Bishop’s description it says if you purify his incinerates you take energy damage. However Ikaris is immune to incinerate, so technically he isn’t purifying it. So how I died in war to the energy damage.

Just to clarify, are you the one using Ikaris?
If so, I just tested it out since majority of Ikaris's attacks inflict incinerate and if Bishop is incinerated. Bishop goes into steady release which is what killed your Ikaris, not the incinerate purification.
Hopefully I'm right, thanks for listening

It’s not the steady release. I reread his description. Opponents take energy damage if you try to incinerate Bishop. However Ikaris still should counter that with sig ability. Kabam didn’t test out interaction between these 2.

Ikaris sig abiity deals no damage though, it just decreases energy resistance

Exactly so if I’m high sig essentially I shouldn’t take any damage back

    Ikaris Signature Abiility States:

"Every time an opponent tries to apply an effect on Ikaris that he is immune to, inflict an Energy Vulnerability Passive reducing Energy Resistance by 178.26-877.59 for 10 second(s). Max 10 Stacks."

We've agreed that he's incinerate immune against Bishop which leads to Energy Vulnerability for Bishop. That still doesn't negate the Energy Damage that Steady Release emits due to the Incinerates placed on Bishop by Ikarus and that is how you got KO'd
