What to do with expiring Embers I can't use due to bug?

As the title says I have some embers that are going to expire soon and I can't use them due to the relic tutorial bug. What can I do? Selling isn't an option as I have new relics to level up so it would be a total waste to sell and I don't need the minuscule amount of gold it would give.
