5* for both, just need to push one of them past rank 4 and then I have a gem and hundreds of pieces of class iso to push them to max.
I lean towards idoom for finesse, but logically speaking, crossbones is a no brainer
So who is it

What kind of content are you doing? I just recently took my Crossy to r3, and he’s super fun, but so is my r3 IIM.

I get more usage out of Iron Man in act 8 and EQ than I do out of Crossbones. But Crossbones could be more useful in lower content (like act 5 and 6, maybe early 7).

It all depends on where you’re at in the game my friend!

Side note; make sure you rank who you like to use. If you really love using Crossbones, then rank him up! If you really love using Iron Man, rank him! If you love them both, do both!

You have nothing but time friend.

Crossbones was my go to champion as a 4* and idoom is being made to work now as a 6*.

Defense- wise both are similar. Idoom is technically better but with incursions, a lot of people know how to counter him. Crossbones is a rare defender even now but isnt as tricky as idoom to fight.

Offense-wise Crossbones provides consistent damage if you can overrun and launch a few combos while idoom has a specific rotation that is slightly match condition dependent to get max damage.

Utility wise idoom does a lot of work. Crossbones does have ability accuracy reduction and purify on his signature ability but it is a bit inconsistent. Idoom is more relevant from a utility perspective.

Like Jinx said, learn both their game styles and depending on your stage of the game, pick one. Crossbones has a smoother gameplay and consistent damage that is superb at early levels (pre cavalier). Once you start facing opponents with double or higher PI and on tricky nodes, Crossbones tends to drop off and idoom becomes more relevant with his utility.

I haven't seen anyone yet using CB in full time content except BG ...he is strictly now a BG champ i am starting to believe ...Idoom is much better and gets great usage everywhere.

I use my CB in every war. Run path 9. Also used him for lots of 8.2 stuff. Crossbones puts in work against really anyone that doesn't get rid of his buffs or punish him for getting them as well as bishop.Hell I've used him against rintrahs and wiccans in war coming out at near 100% health. I wouldn't say idoom is better personally though.

I think Crossbones is very animation specific
If the defender's heavy & special animations can be easily countered by his heavy, then he is great, but if not, then it gets really hard to manage him
And even in those favorable matchups the timers are very tight to manage.....this IMO restricts his usage

IDoom might not have as much damage potential as Comes, but he has a much wider use case & is also a decent defender unlike Cbones
