It is the avenue by which they will announce more 7* champs into the game. Rather than add them to the basic pool and dilute it, newly introduced champs will be added to this crystal for a period first. It is a separate currency that we have little info on how to obtain so far as we are probably a month or two out from seeing it, but it will allow players an increased chance at obtaining newly added champs without having to worry about duping champs they already have.

Also, people need to stop being paranoid about a new progression title. Paragon still isn’t finished. We are a ways away from a new progression.

It won't. It's basically a 7* featured crystal.
