Hulkling Crit Damage Sp2

I've thought this for a while now, does hulkling hit the soft cap on Sp2 damage or something? His "crits" don't seem to actually increase the damage. Plenty of times besides the included pictures I've gotten 17k non-crit, 17k yellow crit, etc for sp2
