Question about Diablo

Around a month ago I took him to r4 sig 200 after unlocking 'cides and he's been a blast to use in all content, but after the recent update after I throw a SP1 occasionally the enemy will charge in while I'm still drinking my potion and just destroy me. Like I said, I've only really started using him a month ago but don't recall that happening before the update. Maybe another big?

I tried over 10 sp1s with my Diablo and didn't have the enemy run up. I did notice a discrepancy with when they would hold block, but never had them dash at me.

What gamemode were you experiencing this?

It's not always, very rarely the opponent just dashes forward immediately after sp1 when u are drinking the concotion. So sometimes we need to be careful and block or dodge the attacks

Yeah, I've had it happen in AQ a few times, but not in the last few weeks.. it may have to do with proximity
His Sp1 is designed to create distance.. which may be part of the programming for the AI to stay back, but I really have no idea

When it happens, try to pay attention and see if your back was at the wall.. this would prevent him from getting the distance he usually gets after using it..but iirc, I think I have been attacked with plenty of distance as well
But if you are against the wall, make sure to be ready to defend yourself if they charge.. I have a feeling this is when it's most likely to happen

It also may be AI dependant so 10x with the same AI will produce the same result.. but yeah, it hasn't happened that often, but it's definitely happened before

Probably just randomness in the AI. Kinda like when Mordo gets a power gain buff you can generally go for a heavy and he won’t counter it 99/100 times, but occasionally he will. Most times the AI won’t counter diablos SP1, but it has happened to me before.

Only recommendation I have is be cautious. You usually have enough time to dex the attack if you notice them dash in since you teleport to the opposite side of the screen.
