Intentionally losing in battlegrounds

So i've been suffering with the matchmaking in platinum 2, getting matched with paragons who i have no chance of beating so i've been thinking about throwing matches next season when i'm in gold 3-1 so i get more currency from missions and don't have to compete with paragons, is this allowed? Have you guys done this before?

If I need to get 3 matches in before reset and I am busy, I just let it autoplay for my 3. Doesn't happen often, but it does.

Farming points, while being allowed, is still a hot topic. You're free to do it for now, but idk if you will in the future.

I do it if I'm matched by someone way over my skill. I'm going to lose anyway, but I still need three clears for awards... Still, there are some who get bad draws and when I look at those, I'll give it a fighting chance for a win if it looks winnable after the draft process. So it definitely varies when I just set the phone down for them to get the auto win.

All I can say is this is specifically allowed against me. If you see me in Gold, feel free to forfeit.

I will say there's no such thing as a match up that is impossible to win. It might be difficult, but just because the account has a monster roster, doesn't mean the guy behind the wheel knows how to drive it. I've seen players with rosters significantly stronger than mine (and mine is no slouch) drafting completely drunk. Either they are throwing the match because they are a fan, they are several points above the legal limit, or they are letting their kid sister play while they use the bathroom. So even when I'm on my low Cav alt in BG and I draw a Paragon-tier roster as an opponent, I play it out. If nothing else, its good practice.

It’s allowed and quite frankly probably saves you time.

I've done it when overloaded with energy refills and no time to play. At least someone profits.

Or one of the biggest match makers. Connection issues

Draft keeps timing out and picking weird champs? Connection issue.

Picks Sorcerer Supreme to fight Torch with ten seconds to go? Drunk.

this is true but only if you can actually go up the ladder, so getting to gold 1 and then throwing matches so you don't rank up seems like the logical thing to do if as soon as you hit platinum you winrate drops from like 50% to less than 10% because most matches are against paragon accounts or you just wanna have fun in the game mode
