MCOC Subreddits Made Private?

I'm trying to browse the MCOC subreddits and it seems they've all been made private for some reason. The Recruitment sub, the main sub, even the Arena results sub is locked. Does anyone know why this happened or what prompted it?

Yep, Reddit was making monetizing changes, was going to start charging for API usage by channels, which sometimes could end up being quite a large amount.
So there is a broad Reddit community effort (well beyond MCOC) to show their displeasure with that.
And something about making channels Private would help that (?), (or lessen the Advertising revenue that Reddit itself would generate from them ?)

Like Act-5 and Act-6 guides, which seem to be Wiki's up there, as well as the Arena Points entry page (which is where that person accumulates the data they then turn into their Arena Cutoff Spreadsheet, which is a different Root channel, “ContestOfChampsArena”, from the main “ContestOfChampions”).
But so, taking the alternate site mentioned by @HungaryHippo earlier as example, if I go there, and basically see just a bunch of individuals posting stuff, are there actual sub-channels (sub-reddits, or whatever the term is) on that main page ? (Like the 2 Wiki ones for Act 5, 6, guides I have bookmarked)
I didn’t see offhand where to see subReddits within it, other than just individual posts.
Or in other words, what is the difference between individual posts, and the links I have that specifically say “Wiki” in the Reddit webpage (and how to find “Wiki” categories, or aren’t there any, on that other mentioned “MarvelContestOfChamps” Reddit) ?
It was supposed to be a 2 day blackout but the CEO yesterday (?) basically gave a middle finger to the whole effort during a press conference, which is why some communities are staying closed.
I feel like the original subreddit mods are shooting themselves in their feets by driving people awhile with this blackout nonsense. Why should anyone go back to them if and whenever they open it up again when there's a perfectly good subreddit that filled in the void after they gave everyone the boot.
I guess I just don't notice any of the stickies largely because I typically visit via notifications sent via the app. That and when I do visit the main page, my eyes usually glaze pass the stickies in general. Ah, well.
Tired of mods and their power trips. Hopefully, Reddit will just remove a bunch of them and let users vote them out.
Recruiting is hard enough without cutting off one of the main avenues.
