Hero Use - Battlegrounds

My usage of hero's in the Battlegrounds is not awarding points towards the hero use solo event despite it not stating Battlegrounds are excluded .... is this a bug? ... pic showing lack of "battlegrounds excluded" below

It doesn’t state that they’re included either, like incursions which also doesn’t count toward hero use. They don’t count because they aren’t included to count.

It quite clearly states incursions is excluded lol it also doesn't say that arena is included yet it is, so I don't get your point? 🤔.

If it says, which it does, alliance war quest and incursions fights are excluded then surely that means everything else is included 🫣

It literally shows in the picture you provided that winning an arena fight awards x points.

Well done... I'm not talking about the points awarded for the fight, though. My point was that he said its doesnt say BGs is included so it mustn't yet it doesnt say Arena is included either (literally) ....Im saying just because it doesn't state BGs is excluded doesn't mean it is excluded. This could very much be a bug, how do we know, at this point it's an assumption that they don't count, I'm asking IF it is a bug.

Kabam always forgets something when they update things in the game. Adding BGs should’ve updated the language to Hero Use, but they clearly didn’t bother to update this, like they have in other instances with other updates.

Here’s why I would stand firm on this not being a bug and being another case of either oversight or just a hint of laziness. Look at the other items that are excluded. They all have different energy sources or not energy at all. Everything else that does count works off of conventional energy use. Of course BGs are a weird hybrid because you can use regular energy, but since you can use another form of energy it makes sense that, like the others, it doesn’t count.

Don't get me wrong, I have come to accept that they are not awarding points in there, whether that be by design or not. I'm just wanting some confirmation on it and/or POSSIBLY raise a bug that hasn't popped up on their radar yet.

It wouldn't be that hard of a task to add in a couple of words to it if it isnt a bug, if anything it will prevent further posts about it and keep their forum more clutter free 🤷‍♂️

BGs don't count for Hero Use, because Kabam never bothered to update the event coding.
With the game meta shifting towards BGs more and more, it would be great if the company took their time and changed that, adding Incursions fights counting towards Hero Use event too.
Both modes have limitations through energy/currency usage (BGs) or champion cooldowns (Incursions), so there isn't any danger for easy farming or abusing the event.
Anyway, Hero Use can be farmed infinitely through arena, and also it hasn't any serious ranked rewards, and they are already are capped to top10% as the top tier.
It would be a nice change if they do 🙂

Hero Use should be everything bar practice fights. Considering you can just autofight with 7 stars on the Road to get the points all the other constraints seem rubbish.
