Anyone Else Bored With Mcoc

This game might finally be dead to me after all these years. I quit for a bit in 2021 and have been back for almost 2 full years and my account is huge now. However I’m now only playing 5-10 minutes once a night and i’m sooooooooo bored! This game is now a chore to me and the beta was even more chore-like. For the first time in years I missed a login day

Anyone else bored to death even with 4th around the corner? Lemme know how y’all are spending your time in Mcoc cuz I’m bored and bgs does not excite me anymore.

I feel the same way and have for a while. My main gripe is that things are really moving away from solo content (or maybe I've just done all of it now), and moving towards battlegrounds, which is not really for me.

I have found myself compensating for lack of content by buying deals, crystals, etc., to try and find some excitement, which is obviously a horrible idea. At the point now where I look at my roster and see that there isn't anyone I feel compelled to invest in and nowhere to really use it.

FWIW, Summer of Pain, Eternity of Pain had really gotten me back into it because we were forced to use and rank champions that we wouldn't normally use. Would love to see something like that again, or I'm seriously going to cut back on this game.

Recently finished exploring 8.2. It was not a great time overall because of how unpredictable the AI and inputs are.
Today I decided to do a path in act 6 out of boredom. The Mordo boss threw a special in my face during my heavy attack, while power gain was on, and I thought "hells no".

I'll see what the deals are because I have units to burn, but I think I'm done hurting myself for a while.

Event quest has too many paths in the last chapters. Just feels redundant

AQ is a snooze fest and should be reduced dramatically.

AW and BGs are the best part of the game. Incursions are the most enjoyable but the refresh timers are unnecessary and the rewards are out dated already.

All the stores need a massive tune up. I buy the Sigil once every three months when I need to increase overflow for something.

Would be great to get a practice mode to customize nodes against certain defenders without risk of losing items.

Same. I'm cutting back on everything in the game and am only going to do bg's. Who knows maybe my excitement will come back after but for now I just see it as my last month in game before I take a break or leave forever. Only time will tell.

That’s why I’m surprised they haven’t come out to announce anything coming up, especially before the sales drop.

As I have no reason or intention to purchase anything, my roster is good enough, I’ve done the carina challenges I want, done all story, EQ is straight forwards… so what’s the need for me to get more shards or materials when I don’t need any.

Missed opportunity from kabam, at least give us some incentive to buy

Absolutely agree. In fact after playing for hours a day every single day since 2015, I've only logged into game once in past 3 months. I even completely abandoned my monetized MCOC YT channel.

Lots of things pushed me into boredom of this but how the BG disaster has been handled since last year (I've stopped playing before new changes were finally made after months of ignoring and deflecting issues)pushed me over the edge to finally quit.

I did the exact same thing. Ran 6.1.1 and realized what a money grab No Retreat was. Plus so many energize nodes that I just don't want to do, ever.

I am getting bored as well. When they first released BGs, I thought this would be the change that re-excited me, but in its current iteration it is just a PITA to play, and not much fun. My other fave content is story quest, but the videos I have seen on the 8.3 beta are disappointing b/c the content does not look fun.

This is a game. IMO games should be fun. But after you rise to the level I am, all you have to do is high stress content where one mistake equals a KO, and where the champs you've invested in are nerfed by nodes that prevent you from using the champs' rotations. Unblockable everywhere.

Sometimes I feel like they don't want us to enjoy the game.

I don't think that's a fair assessment. In 7 and a half years, I've had periods of being more motivated than others. I think it's normal for that amount of time. I even semi-retired for a number of months a few years back. It happens to the best of us.

Yeah I’ve hit that wall a few months back, and it’s been tough to find the motivation to continue.

AQ is absolutely dreadful. The cadency of changes (maybe once a year) is far too slow to keep anyone engaged. Like I’ve been fighting the same champs on the same lane with the same team for years. How much more boring can it get? Also, where is 4 day AQ?????

EQ is stale, especially to attempt to run at least the most difficult 2. I barely do TB in a month now, so I just lose the Cav rewards.

Story content is all I look forward to, which is twice a year at best.

Champion acquisition is boring too. I have rank up resources to take up every 6* to at least R3, so that rank up excitement is gone. I thought I’d be excited for 7*, but honestly it didn’t hit me the way I thought it would. And 2* champs were fun for a bit, but there’s literally 0 content to use anything other than my 6/7*, so why even care? I haven’t even looked at a champ below 6* in like a year and a half.

Relics so far have been a bust. Just a combo extender. Excitement lasted maybe 1 day, now I just ignore them other than plugging them on champs when they have that power nerf node.

We haven’t had a new arena in yearssssss. I’m honestly fine with the champ arenas, but even then I barely go in there.

I haven’t touched war since like season 20. I get the appeal, but I hate the waiting around for energy.

We’ve had over 2 consecutive years of broken inputs and AI, and that’s also a massive hit to me personally.

Everything is focused on BG, which I’ve stopped playing since season 3. The mode is just boring to me. Same champs on attack and defense, and the massive waiting times to pick champs/wait to finish a round.

I guess it’s natural that after almost 6 straight years of playing I’d get bored, but there just doesn’t seem to be any direction for anything other than BG.

I'm of split mind. Loving BG and really always enjoyed war. AQ is an ABSOLUTE nightmare. It's just boring and repetitive and it causes so much anger in alliances for minimal reward. You absolutely have to grind and check in multiple times a day for dull content or else you get kicked. So irritating.

I miss those old abyss times man. All people were so exited and on fire. That was peak and I miss it.

Somehow, I want to replay all those old content which makes me feel nostalgic. But I will never have the energy or motivation to Start anew with a new acc. I want to play it with my big account… I don’t know if I explained well but some might understand

At this point my wife is definitely bored with M’COC. She’ll hardly interact with M’COC at all…maybe in honor of special events and a few other sporadic occurrences. Very different than when we were younger and not sick of each other.
