BG Alliance Event Rank Rewards Qualification

How long does one have to be in an alliance to qualify for this battleground's alliance event rank rewards? I'm considering changing alliances possibly tomorrow (with 21 days remaining), but knowing if I will still qualify for BG rank rewards will be a factor.
