Hades rifts took my energy then locked me out of the quest.

I went to preview the Hades Rift to see what champs I would be facing. Well I went to team select screen after. It took my dimensional energy and then locked me out of the rift without letting me complete it. It also gave me a notice saying if I exit the quest I will be charged the entrance fee. It gives you team select screen and the go back to menu buttons. I click team select and then was locked out. It said if I leave the quest I be charged the entrance fee. Well I never left. I clicked character selection. And if that is now considered abandoning the quest, it should say that more clearly. I’ve never been charged an entrance fee to any quest when just trying to preview the map or going to the team select screen. So now I’m down a day on the paths, which means I will probably miss the 6* awakening gem.

Is there anything I can do to get my energy back?
