Battlegrounds solo event

I have been noticing that when I use elders marks to play BGs and lose, it doesn't award any points towards the solo event. I lost 2 in a row, while at 390K, which made it very obvious.

Is anyone else seeing this?

    Are you exiting the match before the final timer runs out?
