Multiple Relic Rarities

Mods, have you guys ever considered allowing multiple relics of the same rarity?

I appreciate that you've made binding/unbiding free, which was a great player positive move for routine questing, but it still leaves a gap where multiples of the same relic rarity would be beneficial.

Take the second half of the GC meta this past BG season that granted defenders some crazy regen.

The Vision relic would have been a great one to have on a slew of different attackers (Peni, Viv Vision, Omega Sentinal just to name a few).

Do you think in the future you may offer the choice to awaken/increase sig to a relic, or choose to add a second iteration of the same relic when duped?

Thanks in advance.

That's why you do have multiple rarities. 3* 4* 5* etc.

There are currently 4 tech relics across 4 rarities, so that's 16 total tech relics.

Compare that to the number of tech champs across those same rarities. Heck, I'll look at it from my point of view, cause I don't use anything below 6* anymore unless it's for occasional arenas or niche content.

That still leaves a total of 47 6 and 7* tech champs.

And back to the specific example of the Vision relic, there are a total of 4 rarities. Again, sticking just to 6 and 7* champs, there's a lot more than 4 champs with access to heal block.

and more relics will come in time.
    its part of the strategy.
its not about having a relic bound to every single champ.
there is no strategy to that.
there is also 250 champs but only 30 spaces in your battlegrounds deck.
    can i have more spaces?

or can i place my 7* sasquatch my 6* sasquatch and my 5* sasquatch?

Well you went way off topic, but since you went there, yes, I do think I should be allowed to place different rarities of the same champ in my BG deck. If I want to take that gamble by giving up a champ with different utility in exchange for two great defenders, knowing full well that neither may show up in my draft, that's my prerogative.

To the point at hand though, yes, more relics will come, but so will more champs. My point wasn't about having one for one relics to champ ratio though. It's about when there is a relic that offers good benefit to multiple champs.

I think we all agree that relics don't have much of a benefit until the 5 or 6* rarity. Anything before that is basically just a combo extender.

So in the rare circumstance where there's actually a truly beneficial relic, to more than one champ, I thought it'd be cool to give the option of having additional copies of that relic vs taking the dupe.

It wouldn't be game breaking, and it's not without risk either. To the example at hand, how often would you really even want something like this? BGs is the only scenario I can think of, and when the next meta rolls out, that relic may not even be useful. You're also making a conscious decision to give up on sig level, and fragments of the next relic rarity (in the case of a 5* dupe, if I choose a second copy instead, I don't get the 6* relic fragments). So the decision has a trade-off. It's not purely beneficial.
