Shang Chi Wushu strikes not applying debuffs to mutants.

Not sure if this is something well known, I was his kit and can't see anything about it, but I'm plodding along with act 7 on my alt. My Shang chi is doing the 7.2 Juiced path and has worked wonders with slow and stun on the path but against both OML and Emma he doesn't apply slow or stun ( whether Emma is in diamond or telepathic form) the unblockable and cleanse work fine.

You can't apply slow if you have class disadvantage

If you click on “slow” in the description of the wushu strikes, a pop-up tells you exactly what this debuff does, especially that it doesn’t work against an opponent with a class advantage.

And “stun” doesn’t work against Emma in diamond form.

He did say it happened in both forms but I’m wondering if they missed a dex against her special and had a concussion on them. I don’t think wushu strikes are immune to AAR

His strikes can fail sometimes vs glances too so vs the likes of stormx, caiw, Fanta it can be a bit annoying if the strikes doesn't work when you want it to.

See that's what I was missing, it's not a shang-chi specific thing but a slow specific thing, thanks for clearing it up. Same with Gwen and the like. I haven't played properly for a while and usually just use Herc on my main to power through things so having a limited roster on alt requires actual brains 😂

Not entirely sure on the stun thing, worked fine on OML just not in Emma in either form but I ended up just blitzing the fight with other champs.
