Juggernaut vs Nimrod bugged?

I just did this fight in BG and then practice mode to verify it. I know jugs isn’t great for nimrod since when you activate a sp attack you’ll get a debuff and lose your gem of cyttorak. But when you throw a sp3 you should activate the gem and be unable to have it removed for 20 seconds right? Wrong after a sp3 he still loses his gem and can’t go unstoppable. Is this a bug or am I missing something in the abilities?
