Does the player who picks second in BGS have a bigger chance of winning?

Obviously placing defender second is a pretty big advantage, but I'd have thought the player drafting second would be at an advantage too and have always wondered why they get to place second as well.
Across the board, is there a sizeable difference in winrate between the player who picks first and the player who picks second?

Defender placement should be simultaneous for both players and blind, meaning that your defender pick gets revealed to the opponent after the timer ends, same for the opponents defender reveal to you.
That would take away any advantage drafting defender second gives, and guarantee even ground for both players.
