Alliance Event Milestone Bug

I joined my alliance a couple days ago right as the new event was starting. I started contributing and waiting for my eligibility timer to expire, and when the initial timer expired the first several milestones said they were not available because I didn’t contribute. I shrugged and moved on as I was still eligible for the milestones the alliance hadn’t achieved yet. However, now we have achieved them all and I’m being met with the same message. I tried restarting the app, anc checking a few different times hours apart. Is this a bug, or is the eligibility not clear for new members? Seeing as it’s a month-long event, it would be shocking to me if no new members could earn the rewards the entire period.
