Why is it that when you use a striker it counts as hits against Thing but against Korg it doesn't?

It's likely the wording. Thing says when struck and korg specifies when struck by an attack.

That would make sense if a Striker added to your combo but it doesn't so it shouldn't be classed as an attack. It should be one or the other

    Don’t strikers extend combos?

Korg's shield is chipped away when specifically struck by LIGHT Attacks - striker attacks won't count as LIGHT, but some other type. Whereas Thing just needs to be hit - doesn't matter by what.

Ah, my bad!! Re-read the abilities, if you intercept with a light then he loses an additional charge. Man, I've been thinking only light attacks chipped his shield for years! Thanks for setting me straight
