To Those Complaining about Battlegrounds Matchmaking

Okay I’ve seen a lot of posts about people commenting about the matchmaking for battlegrounds. The thing is, I understand where these people are coming from, it can be completely demoralising and annoying going up against these massive accounts and feeling like you have no control in the matter. I do understand, however the aim of this post is not to complain, quite the opposite. I would like to give some courage and confidence to those with smaller accounts by showing a match I had which I was really proud of, showing that it is possible to take these massive accounts on. I’m a fairly new paragon with a smaller account compared to others and managed to beat much larger account with rank 2 7 stars and rank 5 6 stars when I have less than a handful of rank 4 6 stars. I don’t wish to embarrass anyone so I’ll be blurring the opponents name. First pic is my account and second was the person I went up against.

I was quite happy with this match as typically I would just forfeit. But honestly just take some risks play some rounds with champs you might be uncomfortable with, I was terrified to take his Maw with my havoc as he was only rank 2 but it paid off. Would also love to see some other instances of seeing smaller accounts take on much bigger opponents. Wish you guys the best.

I used to be afraid of the larger accounts, but I found that a lot of them bought July 4th deals and don't necessarily have much better skills than me. That being said, I once did die against Nimrod because I drafted Domino to take him down for some reason.

There is no point assuming anything from someone's profile. Aside from the mythic title - everything in this game can be bought, Legends title via a fast phone + connection or unit through incursions. Fat roster, buy deals.

You can be out rostered by someone with reasonable skills and game knowledge, but there are a ton of people that have all the bells and whistles on their account and lack just of one or the other or both. These players will give up wins to smaller accounts. So don't just forfeit from a profile pic or at the banning screen.

Congrats on the win. I think the problem is that smaller accounts are facing these whale accounts on a regular basis and if the whale accounts have above average skill level, they would win 90% of the time. Uncollected and Cavaliers will have a hard time against the big Paragon accounts once they reach Platinum. I wish Kabam would have different tiers in BG to help those smaller accounts. One day I see a tier system like Incursions coming to BG.
