7 for 7 Carina's by an *average? Paragon

I started out not boosting, then switched to boosting, then realized that I didn't need to. After completing 7.1, I realized that it is very champ/roster dependent on who you have so I don't know how useful this write-up will be.
Masteries are MD 5/5 [though not really used] and DW 5/5 [though also not really used except Gorr/Domino], but have suicides unlocked. I got 7* Ant Man late in chapter 7.3, but he wasn't used.
7.1.1 Flare Path/Yondu Boss
Team: r2 Bishop, Guilly99, Wiccan, Gorr [no 5th spot because of colorblind and I only have 4 different champ types]. No boosts
Paths – used class advantage against each opponent so flare dealt less damage. Health was never an issue because the champs hits so hard.
Boss – started with Bishop, took him down to 84% without trying, then used Gorr. Not a Gorr expert at all [only 3rd time using him], but it went well without even max despair. Built up ‘charges’, then did combos ending in medium. I got hit once, which gave me a regen that built up my health. Try to get Yondu to throw his sp1. It’s easy to dex and then you can knock him down.
Potions/Revives – 0/0
7.1.2 Static Blast/Rhino
Team: r2 Bishop, Guilly99, Gorr, Domino, Hulkbuster, realized I had a ton of boosts so 15% attack and 20% green
Paths – They all have easy specials for me to dex except Guardian. Used Gorr, but mis-timed a sp2 and died. Bishop was used for Wags. Some fights were long, but not terribly hard
Boss – I’m sure that there is a better way, but I didn’t do it. Used heavy attacks to build Specials faster and so he’d have less charges when knocked down to deal damage back to me. I’d try to stay as close as possible to him so he couldn’t go unblockable. Hulkbuster with shocks on him was MVP.
Potions/Revives – 0/0
7.1.3 Special Connoisseur
Team: r2 Bishop, Sauron, Domino Hulkbuster, Guilly99, boosted
Paths: Bishop and Sauron were great since they both gain prowess. I don’t know how to play Sauron, but e did the job. It just took awhile when I had to use him. She-hulk clipped me on a special and KO’d Bishop so then Sauron took over for some of the fights.
Boss – Just tried not to dex, and dex on his sp1 before he gets close so the dex buff doesn’t trigger. Bishop took off a chunk, then HB, then finished him off. HB was amazing. I didn’t want to use him at first because his armor up buffs would regenerate, but he did amazing damage. I ‘learned’ the sp2 special block lock and heavy attack in the corner while playing him.
Potions/Revives – 0/0
7.1.4 Brute Force/Hela boosted
Team: Domino, Wiccan, Guilly99, Gorr [Had to restart after Hulk fight because I forgot about colorblind and had Bishop on team as well at first]
Paths: All pretty straight-forward, just play aggressive. Ended Storm X with Guilly99 sp3, and then used Guilly on Hela. Domino tore up Nick. I was little worried about brute force with him being stun immune, but it didn’t matter.
Boss – Used ramped up guilly. Did 4 heavy attacks to build up combo shield [guilly is also duped, which is nice]. I don’t know if the Lazarus charges were working or not. I didn’t keep track of them, but Hela went done much faster than I thought she would. Nothing special, but a r1 Guilly ramped up does some damage.
Potions/Revives – 0/0
7.1.5 Terminal Velocity
Team: Wiccan, Guilly99, Bishop, Domino, Gorr, boosted
Paths – This was the first path where I actually had to decide. It was my favorite path, but the path I wanted I couldn’t do because of the boss. Wiccan took Heimdell, Bishop took Mags easily, Guilly99 [who is great since she doesn’t crit for this path, but it had two magnetos and a Cosmic so I didn’t use her as much as I’d like] took Tigra [end sp3], Gorr did surprising well against War Machine. I thought the might dash would make it a long fight, but you just build up those charges, corner him in the wall, and then fire your sp2 to get your fury. Bishop took Wags, and then he died on Maw. Luke Cage/Electro was actually not as bad as I envisioned, but dumb mistakes took all my champs. Guilly was doing wonderful, but I forgot that you can falter in the middle of a special attack so he combo’d me to death. Domino was doing great [parry heavy], but I forgot that she has a 6 hit mlllm and miscounted so I faltered and combo’d to death. Wiccann also does great [still don’t really know how to use him but he regens on his sp1 against electro] and same – forgot about falter. Gorr died and wasn’t that great. So, three great champions down, but my plan was always Bishop due to his high energy resistance. Revived him and it was easy-peasy.
Potions/Revives – 0/ 1 40%
7.1.6 Biohazard
Team: Hulkbuster, Wiccan, Gorr, Bishop, Domino, boosted
Path - I knew going in I’d have to revive at Purgatory due to bleed damage [I did]. The bleed damage slowly drained my two champions life as the path went on. Bishop took half the fights, Domino took the other half. Domino for Torch of course. Died on Purgatory so revived and used 4 lvl 4 potions to finish her.
Boss: Hyperion moves. I don’t think she could throw sp3, but I didn’t read the nodes. Plan was to go in with Wiccan first and apply shock, but doesn’t take much energy damage. Forgot about that energy resistance node. Gorr next and did well. Just make sure you have a shock on her before timestream starts. But when your cat jumps on you, there’s no saving the fight. KO. Bishop still dead, Domino took out 20% chunk before having to quit out fight due to selective timestream. HB for the win. Sp2 into block, and when close to selective timestream, sp1 and then heavy. She never threw a sp3 even when it was filled twice and did sp2 instead [again, I didn’t study the nodes].
Potions/Revives – 4 lvl4 / 1 40%
MVP – Gorr, Hulkbuster [I still don’t know how to optimally play Wiccan -never even read his abilities, Gorr, or HB]
7.2.1 Flare/ Moleman
Team: Bishop, Domino, HB, Gorr, Guilly99
Path: Bishop was great for Agent Venom, Guilly for Havok and Cable, HB for Domino [her sig ability and flare only took 49% of health]. Several fights were done in less than 25 seconds so the damage from flare was not that bad.
Moleman: One shot with domino. I even took a sp3 to the face since he was at 1% and I thought that he would die before. I survived because the 7* have such high health.
Potions/Revives: 0/0
7.2.2 Superiority/Tigra
Team: Bishop, Domino, Hulkbuster, Guilly, Gorr
Paths: Just used Class advantage. Nothing difficult.
Tigra: Guilly was ramped up from a special 3. However, I forgot that your combo resets so her damage stunk after it did. I exited out at 70% health. Hulkbuster came in to finish her off. Didn’t even need Domino or Bishop.
Potions/Revives: 0/0
7.2.3Unblockable Specials /Hit Monkey
Team: Bishop, domino, Gorr, Wiccan, Guilly no boosts
Path: Path was easy. They all have specials that are not difficult to dex.
Hit monkey: He was pretty easy. I took him down with domino, then finish with bishop, Bishop stun is great, build to sp3 and knock down
Potions/Revives: 0/0
7.2.4 stun path/Man Thing
Team: Mangog, hulk buster (x large champs), bishop, domino, Gorr
Path: HB started out with two heavy’s, then just mlllm or heavy spam. Survived fights with 22% health left. Most fights done in 17 seconds. With Mangog, I did five hit combos to build rage, end with sp2. Used against cosmic and then died against warlock. Hb finished warlock.
Man thing – Bishop was bad. Hulkbuster died from low health. Gorr did little damage due to time for ramp up. Domino had to be revived three times first to 54% health, revive and full health revive, then to 24% health, then revived and 60%, then 4 % health so 20% revive and 10000 health. Man thing played passive which hurt. This was my most poorly planned fight of the entire run [I don’t know if the other bosses would have been any easier though].
Potions 8 lvl 4, 11 level 3, 8 lvl 2
Revives - two 40%, 1 20%
7.2.5 power shield/PlatPool
Bishop, domino (criT Bleeds, Miles Morales slight ability accuracy reduction) Gorr, guilly99, hulk buster
Path: Restarted three times to get a good crit bleed on miles with domino on sp2, then just had to hope that I could get through his invisibility. For some reason, I could never get a bleed on sp3, so I stopped trying. Guilly was amazing. Probably just the best way to play, but I’d build my combo up to 100 (either by 100 hits or ending on sp3). Her damage would go through even when you aren’t critting so most fits were easy, but long because I would sometimes lose my combo.
Platnium pool- Hulkbuster did good. With Domino, I exited out once he was about to regen. Bishop though was the best. Build to sp1, and then just keep those incinerates up by being near to him. You just have to hope that you get lucky with the cards that he draws. When I tried with Gorr, he started out with three power gains. I just quit.
7.2.6 Debuff Synthesis: ArmorBreak/Stun HB/Juiced +300%attack node path/Gwenmaster
Team: IMIW for path, bishop, domino, Gorr
Path: IMIW mvp. Parry, heavy until sp 2, then convert to plasma. Make sure to have relic. His second hit on his heavy applies armor break, which stops the unblockable. His so2 also has armor break. Better yet, his mlm can’t be evaded, nor can his heavy. Emma was taken down by HB, get to one bar of power, get her in regular form, then sp1 into block. I thought that it would be too hard with not being able to parry in diamond form to use IMIW. Heavy attack in corner, hope and pray. HB finished fight at 29% health
Gwenmaster: Gorr took down without putting on debuffs, survived sp2. Just make sure that you don’t dex when she was 4 prowess. I found Emma’s form the easiest phase to do. Keep the fight gong, gain more attack.
Chapter MVP: IMIW – I honestly don’t know which path I could have done if I didn’t have him. I probably would have done the same path with just HB and revive a ton.
Potions: Revives: 0/0
7.3.1 special delivery/ red goblin
Team: Bishop, domino, HB, Gorr, Wiccan
Path: Nothing special
Red Goblin: I just got hits in before I died.
Potions/revives: 0/0
7.3.2 Paradox- Knock Down: old man Logan
Team: Bishop, domino, HB, Gorr, wiccan
Path: Maybe I should have taken Guilly instead of HB, but I had been loving him. His sp2 into block was great. Mostly, you just have to watch your paradox charges.
Old Logan - Wiccan was great. Just watch falter. Survived a five hit combo on 10th block.
Potions/Revives: 0/0
7.3.3 mutant path/stealthy
Team: Bishop, domino, Sauron, HB, Gorr
Path: Domino made all fights easy. Bishop took Korg, domino got lucky and bypassed things protection for a 256k crit, otherwise it would have been a long fight.
Stealthy - He was easy. Just intercept. I had domino push to stealthy to an sp3, then exited out. Bishop came in with three bars of power, got to 30 prowess, took out 42% of health of Stealthy’s health for KO.
Got AntMan from crystal 7* shards. I wanted him or Titania for their buff immunity
7.3.4 Paradox: Debuffs/symbiote supreme
Team: Didn’t record, but I think it was Hulkbuster, Domino, Bishop, AntMan [for SS], Guilly99
Path: Again, I didn’t take notes, but Domino killed Domino [I don’t know if that meant I killed her or she killed me and I finished her off with someone else]. I do remember that the Red Skull was annoying because couldn’t attack him into his shield.
SS – Just a regular SS fight. I didn’t use Ant Man as SS was KO’d before I got to use him.
Potions/Revives: 0/0
7.3.5 Technical Suppression/Elsa
Team: Bishop, Domino, Sauron, Hulkbuster, Guilly
Path: Used tech champions for the path. Nothing unexpected.
Elsa: Domino solo’d Elsa. You just have to play around the unstoppable.
7.3.6 Emma Frost Path so Kang would have no node/extra abilities
Path: HB was MVP for the path due to his sp2 power drain. Used Domino for Emma Frost. I still don’t understand always when she goes into diamond form so I wanted Domino to get some good crits in.
Kang: It was a regular kang fight. Gorr did good, but his isn’t power drain/whatever immune like venompool or venom are. When I got to his last phase, I though, I though I was in trouble. I had Bishop left and though he’d do great due to his higher health. He died, I revived him and found out that he still carries his power so after dying again, he was at a sp3 for the win.
Potions/Revives: 4/3
7.4.1 Mutant Path/Guilly99
Team: Bishop, Domino, Gorr, HB, Guilly99
Path – Nothing Hard, just used my mutants.
Guilly99: My guilly99 worked really well. That power drain on sp1 is great. You just have to play around with the cloak when she goes invisible. It was long because I did lose my combo a couple of times.
7.4.2 Tech Path/Crossbones
Team: Hulkbuster, Guilly, IMIW, Domino, Bishop
Path: Hulkbuster was another MVP for the path.
Crossbones: Domino started the fight, Bishop finished it. Bishop was great for it as whenever he purifies, he takes damage.
Potions/Revives: 0/0
7.4.3 Mutant/Tech superiority/King Groot
Team: Bishop, Domino, Wong [don’t know how to use], Wiccan
Path – Mutants did a great job with the path until Ultron. His evade killed Domino, Bishop, and Hulkbuster. Wong finished him off when he was at 25%.
King Groot: Wiccan was amazing for the fight. Regens on sp1 [I think, and his neautralizes prevents his buffs.
7.4.4 power drain/ mojo
Team: Ant Man, guilly99, HB, bishop, domino
Path: HB is amazing, get to sp2 and hit into block
Mojo: Nothing special, just very tanky.
Potions/Revives: 0/0
7.4.5 Mutant path/Namor
Team: Domino, Bishop, Sauron, Guilly99, Gorr
Path: Nothing too difficult about the path. I kept getting clipped by Ronin, and had to revive.
Namor: I thought that Gorr could be immune against bleed for some reason [he isn’t] and he died rather quickly. Guilly99 was great. Sp1 for power control and build up charges to 100 hits.
Potions/revives: 3/1 [ I accidently did this before 7.4.4 and had to thus rerun it. It was done itemless]
7.4.6 Tech path/Superior Kang
Team: Hulkbuster, Guilly99, Domino, Bishop, Gorr
Path: Hulkbuster and Guilly99 did great. Nothing difficult and was probably the easiest path for the entire challenge.
Superior Kang: Gorr and Hulkbuster were the MVPs. Like Ultron, Gorr was tanky because he can regen some health back if you get struck [but still not as good as Ultron IMO]. He has different debuffs and can gets buffs. With HB, chaining heavies did some great damage.
Potions/Revives: 0/1 team revive

Chapter 4 MVP: Hulkbuster
Here's another good guide, but written by champ usefulness instead of by quest: https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/comment/2393537#Comment_2393537

In my write-up, when I say that I don't know the champion, that means I've never read their abilities. My only experience with them is from battling against them. So if I could use them, you could too.
The only r2 is Bishop, the rest are all r1.
