Doom's SP1 and Bishops SP2

Is the timing on those specials variable or am I going insane?
Sometimes it feels like they stop to sip some tea before bringing the hands around to launch the beams, and then some other times it's super quick.
Might just be anxiety of not knowing if dex will work or not.

Watch their hands closely; you'll see the cue to dex when they light up

For doom sp1, stay close when beam launches and try to dex
For bishop sp2, stay as far as possible during the beam attack
Then try to dex
Or just use Ultron

For me doom so1 is easy to dex. Bishop sp2 tho I dex maybe 10% of the time perfectly lol

Both need the same timing, as their projectile is a connected triwave beam.
They are the same to dex as Cyclops sp1 and CMM sp1.
Once you get used to their animation, you can time the dex consistently.
Doom's feel easier because the stakes are lower, if his sp1 hits you it's quite weak and the damage ain't lethal.
On the other hand, if Bishop's sp2 lands, it's usually game over.
For both champs specials (for many other's too), if you have time it's better to quick dash your champ at the left edge of the screen, before attempting dexing the incoming projectiles.
For some reason dashing back against your screen edge is slightly prolonged compared to dashing back mid screen, and that gives you a milliseconds bigger time window for a well timed dex 😉

You arent losing it. The game is going through lag. While i am not facing problems with Doom or Bishop because i really concentrate on those dexes, i have been hit a couple of times by red mags' special 2. Sometimes it comes like a beam and other times i might fall asleep before it reaches me.
