Protection Shield cooldown

in Bugs and Known Issues
This is the first time i encounter this, but everytime the shield went back to the defender mid special he wakes up and blocks it
Is this a bug or a new mechanic?
It happened in Entrance 4 Path A and with Werewolf BN

    Was the enemy stunned while you were throwing the special? They have a tendency to break out of it with the protection node if they are stunned. I think it has to do with them getting rid of the stun so they are technically "active" and not being hit by a special

    Nope, just MLLLM SP combo that's why I'm asking because i know they do that normally but mid special they're passively stun right? Or not?

    And they are being hit by a Special Attack

    They shouldnt be able to bust out mid-special if it lands. That's pretty weird
