People still farming BG points in Platinum

Im only Uncollected, and I’m in plat 2 but over 80% of the games I play are against TB and Paragon players who will sometimes lose on purpose and other times absolutely destroy me.

I can’t progress past Plat 2 because of this and I really need the trophies for buying shards and rank up materials also the shards from the solo event. Otherwise it will take me a few more months until I can become Cav.

This has really become a problem lately and it’s just exploiting the “bad” players. I know it isn’t very easy to catch all these people but it has ruined BG for me and has become basically unplayable.

At Uncollected you should be thrilled you even made it to Plat 2.

Not want you want to hear, but being uncollected & in Plat 2 is your ceiling. Matchmaking becomes open season, meaning you no longer face only accounts similar in rating to yours. Time to look elsewhere for those rank up mats, otherwise you'll be stuck spinning your wheels, which still gives you points for solo objectives. I'm not trying to be an a-hole, it's just the repercussions of the matchmaking.

you SHOULD be winning 0% of matches at that level but instead of winning 20%, that's awesome, not a bad thing

Two things:
1. If they are deliberately losing, there will be consequences so you don't have to worry about that.
2. I think you've hit your ceiling now and that's as far as you'll go, you have to grow your account more to get to the higher leagues and no argument can change that unfortunately. That's just how things have to be, especially if they're trying to push everyone into that competitive mindset by banning people for farming.

As a UC player you have tons of the other content to do. BGs shouldn't even be open to you.

You can't progress beyond plat 2 cause of your roster.

My son has run into the same issue. He is a new Paragon and has no R5 6* or R2 7*. He went undefeated through Plat and Diamond and is now in Vibranium. He has ZERO chance of winning any of his matches now as he physically cannot kill opponents fast enough to win. He hit his ceiling and has to build a deeper roster now. He is mildly frustrated to say the least.

I sort of get Kabam punishing people for losing on purpose, but he is a perfect example of why people do it. When you have some skill and progress, you eventually hit a wall that you can’t get past and the fun is gone and rewards that are juicy and necessary for you to progress further cannot be accessed.

I’m facing a bit of a similar problem to your son, however my roster is a bit deeper than his. I’ve noticed that in plat/ diamond, I’ve been getting all people with only r3’s and maybe 2 r4s

It’s not exploiting the bad players as you call it, it‘s simply not designed for the „bad players“ to get these rewards.

Imagine … when we worked our way up there was no BG mode at all. We made it to Cavalier, TB and so on without all those rewards. And all the other modes had way worse rewards than they have now as well.

So just work your way up like all the „generations“ before you.

They are not necessary to progress. It’s a fairly new game mode and all of us made it without before, too. So why can’t you/he? It takes time to progress, but people nowadays want everything immediately like the whales. But without paying fortunes like the whales.

Fast progress = whale domain
Slow but steady progress = F2P, spend time and patience

Oh he is fine. He sort of knew he was going to hit a wall as it sort of started to happen a bit in diamond. He knows he has to build up the roster as he is F2P.

I admit i did farm in plat 2 for a bit, then someone told me in my global that its banned, but the thing is i havent checked forums at all in the last month so i didnt know Kabam doesnt want people to do it anymore, as soon as they told me i stopped and went on to higher tiers, in diamond 1 now, i am prepared for the consequences tho

Well, you will reach the point in Plat where the Matches are randomized within the same Tier among all Players. That much is to be expected.
As for the Tankers, Kabam will deal with them.
