MLML combo

Question about combos, when I'm doing MLML, I find doing the second M in the combo doesn't allow me to complete the second L attack. when performing the second M, and just tapping it doesn't complete the second L attack. Tried experimenting the speed I tap and swap, but haven't MLML completely clean. Any tips on this would be most appreciated!!

In any combo, once you perform the 2nd medium OR 4th light attack, the combo ends.
